Marisa Kennedy is a screenwriter, a diversity editor, an educator, an actor and an advocate for social justice.

A member of both SAG and Actor’s Equity, Marisa has performed on Broadway (MATILDA at the Shubert Theatre) and in dozens of plays around the country (including the national tour of BILLY ELLIOT). She has been seen on television with appearances in MR. ROBOT (USA), GOD FRIENDED ME (CBS), and the scripted sketch comedy FRIENDS OF THE PEOPLE (TruTV).
As an educator, Marisa has taught for Lincoln Center Education, The Joffrey Ballet School, and Broadway Classroom to name a few. In 2016, Marisa was named Music For Autism’s Spotlight Artist for spearheading concerts for autistic children in the New York City area.
In May 2019, Marisa was featured in Forbes for her work with Final Draft on their new diversity and inclusion software. She has earned multiple certificates and credits for her studies in Social Justice, Moral Philosophy and Constitutional Law.
Marisa is the co-writer of an acclaimed web series pilot which has screened in more than a dozen film festivals and she has three scripts in development. She consults as a script editor for industry professionals and has worked with Emmy and Tony Award winning writers, composers and actors for the past decade.
