ABOUT THE FILMMAKER
Stefanie Joshua is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Bushwick, Brooklyn. With no formal degree in film production or editing, Stefanie initiated this documentary project while researching and writing her Master’s thesis on delinquency and completing a degree in social research at City College, NYC. The filmmaker embarked on this documentary sequel to the original film, which encapsulates a 20-year examination of change and community development of Bushwick, Brooklyn, in 2016. The director hopes to take viewers on an educational journey about the rich history, culture and narratives of Bushwick, Brooklyn and explore a topic with which humans seem to continually grapple; change.
