ABOUT THE FILMMAKER

As a black action actress, writer, director and lover of action/ adventure/sci-fi films, I felt compelled to write this series, because diversity in these genres is still lacking. We are only now beginning to see black women other than Zoë Saldana- Perego more consistently as fighters and heroes like Danai Gurira, Sonequa Martin-Green, Lupita Nyong’o and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. My primary goal as a director is to continue revealing to the world that black women are versatile and worthy of representation in every genre–especially action/ adventure/sci-fi.
