ABOUT THE FILMMAKER

Former Army Major Jas Boothe is a Disabled Army Veteran, Cancer Survivor, Speaker and Filmmaker who served for over 17 years. Jas, a formerly homeless veteran, due to Hurricane Katrina and a cancer diagnosis, is the President and Founder of Final Salute Inc, providing housing to homeless women Veterans. She turned to filmmaking as creative outlet to deal with her major depressive disorder and she has been recognized by Oprah Winfrey, People Magazine, CNN Heroes, Redbook Magazine, the Today Show and many more! Jas is the mother of two wonderful boys, Brandon (US Air Force, recently back from Afghanistan) and Jammel Jr., and wife of a Marine Combat Veteran, Jammel R. Boothe Sr.
