ABOUT THE FILMMAKER
Daniel Glick is a filmmaker who has dedicated much of his work to social issues including conservation, wildlife restoration, indigenous rights, art as therapy, illiteracy and prison reform. He has completed over a dozen short films and his first feature documentary, A Place to Stand, the powerful true story of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca, broadcast nationally on PBS in 2018. Daniel has been a lifelong fan and follower of hip hop since his father bought him his first record ever – Kris Kross’s Totally Krossed Out way back in 3rd grade – but it’s taken another 25 years for him to finally explore the art himself with his short film The Darkest Place.
